Mega Piranha

first i want to say i don't regret watching this movie. i found it very enjoyable. To say this movie was a disappointment would be wrong. I expected a bad movie when i saw the trailer. how bad....that was just unexpected. First off the special effects were not good. and by not good i mean not good by syfy movie standards. the acting was terrible. god awful. and the script....i don't usually complain to much about dialog in movies because people, myself included, have been known to say some dumb things at all the wrong times but this movie was bad. and i think they kept dubbing the heros voice. making it sound more deep. there were times i wasn't even sure it was his voice. to add insult to injury they kept using the same footage over and over. which anybody who has seen a bad syfy movie knows that they do that with the monster sequences to save on money. understandable. but they did it with the actors scenes! they did do something i had never seen in a movie...OK well several things. but the first one that comes to mind was the scene where one of the scientists is being tortured \ interrogated. he is in some 3rd world country being beaten by a rogue military general (i honestly didn't pay enough attention to remember if he was a general) and his lackeys. they want information about their experiments. apparently they did not want to leave bruises on him because they were using a phone book. not in a way i had ever seen tho. they were not holding it up to him then beating him through the book to avoid bruising. they were just beating him with a phone book. and the scene where the hero escapes from the military compound to go to see the river where the boat was destroyed was....hilarious. all in all tho it was really fun to watch. it made me laugh and seeing Tiffany got some work was fun as well. i wouldn't mind seeing her in more of these movies. ill probably watch it again. not..ya know...allot.

I think Mega Piranha is on right now as i speak.....I cant wait to see some Giant Fish eating the world AND Tiffany! a rougher looking milf Tiffany but TIFFANY none the less! HAHAHA! DVR don't fail me now!!....soon my pretties...very soon.

Ink

Saw a cool movie called "Ink" had not heard anything about it. Trailer drew me in a little. I was turned off in the first 15 minutes or so but then it picked up allot. I really liked it. Music was awesome and thought the story was good. Film quality had a bit of the digital feel, which i hate, but it wasn't enough to take to much away from the movie. Special effects I thought were awesome!. I don't know what kind of a budget they had in making the film but they did a good job never the less. I definitely recommend it.

2 awesome looking movies!

ok here are a couple movies that look pretty awesome to me and i cant wait to see them. the first is Tucker & Dale vs Evil. looks freakin great.



the second....and i am ashamed to say i want to see this movie...cause i like the idea. im sure it will be lacking in the acting\storyline department as well as special effects and anything else you could not do the best job with in a movie....its SyFy's movie Mega Piranha. I will say, I just found out it was done by The Asylum films...i like allot of thier stuff so lets hope.

Horror Hound Weekend 2010!!

Just got back and had an awesome time. Met lots of cool people. saw a few good movies. one of which was Parasomnia. awesome flick. liked it allot. centers around a woman who sleeps all the time and only wakes at random points and only for a couple minutes. was a cool idea for a movie. met the director and he was fun to talk with. got to get a pic with Joe Bob Briggs and Honey. that was cool. i loved to watch them back in the day. i did catch the end of a movie called Smash cut. Im going to look for it. even tho i know how it ends i liked what i saw. So check that one out if you get the chance. Got to shake hands with Clive Barker. He was great to listen to. he wasnt feeling the best and you could tell. he had lost his voice so listening was hard to do but i liked what he had to say. ok well im out!

i have a dream!

ok so i had a weird dream last night. i am not sure how it started but i was at my grandparents old home in Vermont with my sister. i think we were making breakfast. i was breaking eggs to make and something spilled out of one of the eggs. for the life of me i don't recall what this thing looked like but i remember it was fast. we ran around the house trying to avoid it but catch it at the same time. somehow it ended up attacking an owl. yea i know... so while it was molesting this owl i grabbed the whole mess and threw it into the fridge. cause apparently that is what you do with a critter that falls out of an egg you are trying to eat for breakfast. then we went about our day. i went back a bit later to remove the owl and thing and dispose of it. when i opened the door the owl was laying motionless. i touched it and it was frozen. so i pull it out of the fridge and was looking it over for the egg thing. on its back was a mouth. i remember it was dripping with goo and tried to snap at me. at that point the owl started making freakish noises and flapping around the room. my sister grabbed up a shovel and we clambered all over trying to catch the damn thing. after some scrambling it ended up wounded and on the floor. my sister smashed it with the shovel. wriggling out of the mess came this little thing that looked like a salamander. bout the size of the nail on your pinky finger. i remember it was wriggling really fast through the owl much making its way to my sister. then my wifes alarm went off. game over. sometimes i wish i could record dreams to play back later. i hate how they fade from your brain as the day passes. of course some times that is a blessing....

no growth for me yet...

I just found out the wife will be going out of town next week for 3 days. that means its time for another AJ-Palooza! so im thinkin thursday next week will be Little Caesars pizza, beer\rum and tons of movies...so i got to start gathering them up now. growth is number one.....i know you are on the edge of your seat so i will keep you posted to the next one. lol.

feel like i should be craving brains right now. crawled out of bed like i was escaping my tomb and cant wake up. been watching fringe allot lately. just starting on season 2. loving it so far. has come a long way from season 1. i love how you can tell the budget has gone up from most shows from season 1 to the second seasons. the lighting is usually a little better. the camera shots a little more daring. i need to take more photos tonight and am not looking forward to it. lots of little things to take pictures of make for a long drawn out time. I am looking forward to tomorrow tho. a friend loaned me a copy of the movie Growth. Looks awesome. Here is the trailer for those who dont know about it...

Im up. i got up at like 9:30 AM! i had forgotten there was a 9:30 AM....scheduals all out of wak now. its like noon and im ready for a nap. stupid ass farmville took it all out of me. gonna work some more tonight on my deepone busts. maybe finish up some penants (i hope). went through the upstairs yesterday and found all kinds of crap. no old reics from ancient anscestors or nothing uber cool like that. A whole tub of Cassettes! not that i will use em. i dont even think i own a tape player any more. have to see if i still have my Ghetto Blaster! lol. ok thats all i can think of finding at the moment..im sure there was something way cooler than tapes. OOOO i know..it was the floor! i hadnt seen it in sometime up there. no odd dreams last night. for the short time i slept. well off to do something...let you know when i get there...

meat in today

today i had a couple things happen. One i had a dream that my wife got horribly mad and vindictive toward me because i tried to eat half a pizza. woke up angry and couldnt get back to sleep. hate that. your angry but what for? with what? a stupid ass dream? yea dumb. the other is i saw Pandorum. I loved it. kinda saw the ending coming. after the movie Serenity i kinda took a guess that was the things were but didnt see the whole twist coming. thought that was pretty cool. good effects. nice dark movie. Im in the process of making some Deep Ones busts. Im hoping they will be a hit. I like it allot so i had to keep one for myself. Perks of being pennieless i guess. well im off. back to it then. may watch dagon tonight. laters!

dunwhich horror

anyone see the new dunwhich movie that was on syfy a bit back? did you like it? i think i liked it a little. not because it had much at all to do with lovecraft but because i like Jeffery Combs. story wise tho it was a freaking nightmare. i mean dean stockwells character shot like electricity or some shit from his fingers more than once. WTF was that about? about the only thing besides combs i did think was a neat idea was that the necronomicon never existed in our world. thats why there were only copies. ok the whole "its the house" thing was pretty dumb. but the idea of it not existing here was kinda neat i thought. thats right NEAT! i did think it was funny when armatage shot the scraggly ass mom. just shot her. she wasnt threatening him or anything. shes all..oh your not gonna shoot me are you mr...BLAM. yes he fuckin was apperently. HA!

OMG I have a blog!!

Sorry its been a bit. this month has been busy. My birthday just went by and it was a hoot. Went on a little excursion with some friends to get our drink on and check out a strip club. It was a good time. I saw i had a follower and got all excited. Then I saw it was my wife. I mean...I was GLAD to see it was my wife. yep. That's what I meant all along. I currently added some new things to the EBay store. so check em out. I also went through and repriced allot of stuff. Going out this Friday again to celebrate a friends birthday. so that should be a hoot! I have been watching the old show "Titus" allot. I don't know why but i love that freakin show. Loving Dollhouse as well. I'm interested to see where Joss takes it. Enjoying Filions new show Castle as well. Anyone who knows me knows im a huge Firefly fan. I never understood all the people at conventions dressed in their star wars/star trek outfits....until i saw firefly. I don't dress up, but i would if i had an outfit. i would be like a 4 year old with a new costume. the wife would be tellin me i cant wear my duster to bed. or MAYBE she would TELL me to wear the duster to bed! HUH! brown chicken brown cow!!! no disturbing dreams of late. least not ones i found disturbing, or that i remember. The TV show supernatural is getting good so far for those who may be following it. I was a bit scared when they introduced god and angels but they are pulling it off nicely. Seems when religion is introduced in any way to a show it will fall in the ranks. people see it as preachy. I think it helps that the Angels are "Dicks" as Dean puts it. Soldiers of heaven if you will. Bad asses. So yea. likin it. Well I'm off. hope all is well out in the world with you all. Not much to report in the "studio" this week. I set up an eBay store. I'm still trying to get it set up how i like but I'm a ways off. Went to Chicago over the week-end for Fagoria's Week-end of Horrors. It was a good time. The show it self didn't have much of a line up. I did meet allot of interesting people and got to meet some of the people making the great movies I have loved to watch over the years. I have been face booking more than usual lately. A few of my friends from high school found me. So that has been interesting. I'm not sure how to feel about all the things i keep getting. drinks and group invites and flowers and the list keeps going. Such a strange place. I tell the people I talk with on there that i do have e-mail. I do check that several times every day. I think I'm the only one who uses it anymore tho.
I'm currently working on a race of Yith figure and a Mi-Go figure. I have a new breed of idol I'm working on as well. i think i will be putting one up for auction this week. Its actually from an older design but I always liked it and its a bit different. So i thought i would revisit it. Keep your eyes open for that this week.
On a more personal note I'm trying to find someplace to hide this creepy ass little figure on my wife. I got it at the goodwill a couple years ago. it is by far the ugliest thing i have ever seen in my life and cant understand why it exists quite frankly. Now that i have painted such a picture I'm sure it wont live up to its rep. Maybe this week-end while I'm taking pics of my new pieces i will take one of it was well. (if i remember)The wife and I hide it on one another. I'm running out of places to stash it tho. I'm sure ill think of something. She was all sneaky and put it on top of the container of corned beef in the fridge. She knew i wouldn't be able to resist its late night call. Whore. Ill think of something great tho. you wait and see. I thought about putting it in a Ziploc and floating it in the toilet but...I mean if she saw it first it would be great. Lets be honest here. I think we don't always look before we answer the call. so it would just end messy. i mean its ugly and needs to die but....no one should die that way. I'm on it tho. I will get her. Oh yes......

Not much goin on in the world of meat. I did a custom piece (above) this week-end. I actually did both this piece and the piece starting on eBay tonight this week-end. The above piece turned out allot better than i thought it would. i really like the blue/red combo n the paint job. i think i will do some more pieces with this color scheme and see how it goes. I started an eBay store tonight. it is stil in a rough stage. Im still getting used to it. AJPALOOZA!

The wife is out of town and I'm takin a holiday. had lunch with a friend and picked up a big ass pizza. Watched The adventures of ford fairlane and Brain smasher so far. Slowly feeding on cold pizza. Cause cold pizza is full of awesome! WOO HAAA! I know you are all envying my excitingness. I am starting to add a shot of rum to my 64 oz drinks. its not much but im hoping the drunk will creep in instead of a shot of coke to my rum which is the usual prescription. I would like to keep my wits about me for most of AJPALOOZA! don't want to pass out and wake up at 5 in the morning with 3 dogs lying on me like a carpet. I keep hearing the call of the clay, but i must resist. Just for today..the clay is shaking seductively. trying to lure me into the fold. It tells me to fondle it. But i must resist..Maybe its not seductive shaking. maybe I'm having a seizure and the rum snuck up on me already. well I'm off...Hope all is well in the fandom!

Howdy again!
First off let me say to be sure and check eBay this week. I have quite a few new pocket idols up. so get em while they last!!
Sorry for being a bit since my last blog. I'm still trying to get into the habit of blogging. plus having things to blog about helps. which i usually don't. I do however have vivid weird ass dreams at times and makes me think, HEY I should blog about this!!
So yesterday the wife went on sabbatical for her job. she will be back Friday. I got up way to early to see her off. worked all day. didn't get a ton done because i couldn't focus and was moving sloooooow. bout 9:30 at night i decided i was just to damn tired. I just finished up listening to Domain by James Herbert. The 3rd and final book in his rats trilogy. they were pretty good. the sex scenes in the books were kinda clinical. at one point, and i quote, "He used her anus for a vagina". now I'm not really into the sex scenes in books much. let lone having one read to me, but who talks like that. to top it off he is a British author and the person reading it to me reminded me of Wallace and grommet. so yea weird vibes there. but I'm getting side tracked. so i finished up about 9:30 and decided to have some rum and play around on the computer a bit before bed. I had one stiff drink. Enough that i felt it. ate a little food and went to bed. I saw the movie Wall-E not long ago and kinda want to watch it again. so i put it in the DVD player and fell asleep to it. the wife wakes me about 1:30am calling before she goes to bed. she was a bit tipsy. apparently the best thing for a work trip is the free booze...wish i was there. i tun off the movie and pass back into oblivion. i had a weird ass dream. i don't remember many details. but apparently i kept finding these dead women everywhere i would go. not like "oh look a dead person, how about that" like the bizzare things in dreams tend to be treated as if they were everyday occuances. like eating cereal or taking a leak...but hauntingly dead. like disturbingly dead. the police would come by and inspect everything and then the wife and i were supposed to take out the trash sort to speak. it was our job to dispose of the corpses our self. what kinda society do we live in you might ask...i know i did. so while the police watched us do it. we would take the bodies down to the river and let them go. cause apparently that's what you do with the recently dead folk. so then once while coming back up the tall dirt embankment from dropping off a body. the police ask if i have seen any unusual animal burrows lately. i was confused and asked if they thought it was an animal who was killing the women. the mode of murder being strangled with a length of twine my cause for the confusion. They gave me one of those typical movie lines saying they do but don't really know. i pointed out that just below where they were standing there were several burrows in the dirt. one detective jumped down to where i was at this point and started getting down on his hands and knees to inspect one of the larger burrows. asking me if i knew what animal could make such a large burrow. i found it funny because the burrow he was looking in had a large goose standing at the mouth of it pissed and ready to attack him. i pointed this out to him and he dove further down the embankment. At this point things become fuzzy. i know i was contacted somehow by the killer. i know it was a woman. which to my understanding of these things is improbable for a serial killer to be female. I was told that she was targeting me. that she was killing all the women i knew off and would continue to do so until i took a life myself. which was weird. because so far i didn't know any of the women i kept finding dead. least none i remember. things kept progressing. finding more and more bodies. i was becoming increasingly disturbed by their bleached white faces with their blank dark sunken eyes. that part i can still see clearly. eventually the killer tried showing me that she could get at anyone, including me, and i would find myself being strangled at different times with twine. i would be doing anything. didn't matter what and suddenly had a length of twine around my neck. choking off the air to the point where i would almost pass out then she would release her hold and i was left there. alone. never seeing where she was or how she was doing it. at one point i was disposing of a body and walking back through a spot of woods from the river and found myself being lifted off the ground by some twine. the detectives unaware of my struggle for life in mid air, just kept walking discussing the case. until again i was released before passing out. it was shortly after this the alarm went off. i wanted to snooze more but was a bit off because of the dream. which in itself was weird. i have had many many disturbing dreams in my life. usually i would classify them as just that. dreams. not nightmares. nightmares are usually when someone i love is being tormented, but the dreams like this don't usually leave me fearful. once when i was in high school i even had a dream i was a serial killer. i would keep the meat from my victims in a large wet sack in my car. I called myself Paragraph. the dream ended when i was pulled over for speeding. yea. disturbing but not a nightmare. didn't haunt me like this one did. every shadow in the bedroom, at this point, disturbed me. so I was up. That's the last time i drink and watch Wall-E. nothing but horror movies from now on.... Dont forget to check out Ebay!! lol.

Hi again everyone! I just rolled out of my creepy basement and am barley awake. I started watching Repo the Genetic Opera last night. I made it 20 minutes into it before the wife fell asleep and had to stop. (she loves Anthony Head) OK so do I. I'm sure one day I will get to finish watching it. I loved what i saw. For those of you who don't know I do have a mailing list. I'm not much of a blogger but am trying to think of crap to spout on about in here. I could rattle on about the cramped space on my hard drive or the loud ass dogs i have ho keep barking at the garbage men....but i don't really find it that interesting. I had a weird ass dream the other night. Something about being in a prison and werewolves had spread like a plague. almost everyone had been turned or eaten. A select few were alphas and slept during the day (like vampires i guess) in the center octagonal building that was once solitary confinement. Even the guards had fallen to the disease. it had evolved into a complete society. I somehow had managed to avoid being eaten. (because I'm so cunning I suspect. HA!) I tried to blend in with the society of werewolves during the day and hid like a cowering sheep at night. which doesn't make much sense to me because being werewolves wouldn't they have been able to sniff me out. I mean the dream rattled on for what seemed like a lifetime and I don't remember ever bathing. Everything gets a little fuzzy here. turns out the alphas were like the mob. only each alpha lead their own family or pack. keeping in line or eating the rest. I ended up at one point becoming part of one family but still not a werewolf. the prison expanded over time so it was more like a small town and eventually a city. I apparently made it quite high up in the food chain before being discovered. I was hunted at this point and went to a rival pack and offered my allegiance for sanctuary (I'm such a turncoat apparently). so yea. it was kinda weird. It was one of those dreams where if you had the skills you think "wow that would make a good book". but I don't. so it wont. Well I DO think I have prattled on enough for one day.

Meatspider Studios acquired a new domain name this week as well. In hopes to bring me closer to the people who love some Lovecraftian goodness. I now have cthulhuIdol.com. I thought it fitting because I make so many. Saw the new Friday the 13th movie this week as well. Loved it! I especially loved how they summed up the original Friday the 13th in the first 5 minutes. HEH. It was good. I am a Supernatural Fan as well and enjoyed seeing (whats his name) in the movie. Well I'm off for now.
